James Sorrentino Returns as Head Scout

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 20 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry and proud ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins, announced today that James Sorrentino has returned as the team's head scout.

"Jimmy has been and continues to be an instrumental part of our hockey operations," said Stingrays Head Coach Spencer Carbery. "His knowledge and work ethic in the recruiting process has helped bring a lot of talented prospects to South Carolina."

Sorrentino, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, began his career as a manger and player of the Boston Braves in 1989 before starting J.S. Scouting Services in 2000. Prior to joining the Stingrays, he worked with the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL) and Sunrise Sports Entertainment.
