Port Huron, MI – The Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League (UHL) announce their involvement with the local chapter of the March of Dimes and the annual Jail & Bail.

Jail and Bail is an annual event that originated in St. Clair County back in 1957. This event is now held in almost every state across the nation, raising nearly 4 million dollars annually. Money raised will directly benefit the March of Dimes mission, which is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, prematurity, and infant mortality.

Help the Beacons raise money for the local chapter of the March of Dimes by "Bailing Out Breaker". Captain Breaker is being arraigned on Saturday, February 7th live at the Jail & Bail event and needs your help to get out of jail. Come to the merchandise stand at Thursday, February 5th game and make a pledge to bail out or keep Breaker in jail. You can also call in to the show live on Saturday to make your pledge.

The Beacons face off against the defending Colonial Cup Champions the Fort Wayne Komets on Thursday, February 5th. Tickets are still available by contacting the Beacons main office. For a complete schedule log on to the website at www.beaconshockey.com.
