Jacksonville Armada FC News Release
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry has proclaimed Blue and Bold Week in Jacksonville in support of the Jacksonville Armada's regular season home opener at 7 p.m. on Friday against Miami FC at Community First Park, presented by Winn-Dixie.
The proclamation is inspired by the club's new "Blue and Bold" campaign, which invites all residents of Northeast Florida to support the Armada FC's efforts to bring a North American Soccer League Championship to Jacksonville. The promise behind the campaign is a shared commitment to Armada and soccer fans that the club will play a bold brand of soccer, led by a dedicated, talented team of players and coaches, while continuing to make bold moves toward improving the fan experience and the action on the field.
Tickets to this Friday's much-anticipated match start at $12 for groups and $14 for individuals and can be purchased by calling 1.844.2.ARMADA or visiting armadafc.com/tickets.
As has become famous at all Armada home matches, there will be an extravaganza of entertainment planned, highlighted by a post-match fireworks show launched from the stadium's roof.
Prior to the match, the club is hosting the all new Intuition Blue and Bold Street Party presented by PRI Productions from 4:30-6:45 p.m. on A. Phillip Randolph Blvd. between Duval and Adams St. The bash features Intuition beers, special giveaways, exciting tailgating games from PRI and the Happy Taco, Mother Truckin' Pizza and Honey Dripper House food trucks. There will also be face painting and a stilt walker.
Up-and-coming 19-year-old country artist Jonathan Lee, who hails from Middleburg, Fla., will headline the party with a stage performance from 5-6:45 p.m. His performance will air live on CW17 from 6-6:30 p.m. Lee recently released his new album, Heartache Cure, and played at the Clay County Fair, which was headlined by country legend Travis Tritt.
During the match, local on-air radio personality T-Roy will be on the pitch to pump up the raucous crowd. At halftime, supporters can watch the always entertaining Winn-Dixie Bubble Battle, and the Subway Tailgater of the Match will be announced.
