Jacks Head to Allen for Games Three, Four, and Five

(Odessa, TX) - The best-of-seven Southern Conference Finals between the Odessa Jackalopes and the Allen Americans is currently tied at 1-1 after the teams split the first two games of the series over the weekend. The series now shifts to Allen, TX for the next three games.

Series overall: Tied 1-1

Game 1 - Friday vs. Allen, 4-3 Loss

After holding a 2-1 lead after the first period, the Jackalopes gave up a pair of goals in period two to relinquish the lead and eventually fell to the Americans in game one, 4-3. Allen goaltender, Chris Whitley, stopped 35 of 38 shots in net for the Americans.

Game 2 - Saturday vs. Allen, 3-2 (OT) Win

Jeff Pierce scored the game-winning goal with just over three minutes remaining in the first overtime period. The Jackalopes also received first period goals from Jean Bourbeau and Kenny Bernard. Chris Whitley made 42 saves for the Allen Americans.

The series now shifts to the Allen Event Center for the next three games. The Jackalopes won their only game of the season in Allen, 3-2 in overtime, on December 18, 2009. In the playoffs, Odessa is 3-0 on the road while the Americans are 3-1 at home.
