
Jacks Alum Taff Makes SUNYAC All-Rookie Team

CORTLAND, NY - On Wednesday, the State University of New York Athletic Conference announced its 2014-15 all-rookie team featuring former Jackalopes defenseman Chris Taff of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. In 14 games this season, Taff scored 13 points, including four multi-point efforts.
Taff, a highly touted prospect out of the Omaha Lancers AAA program, was traded to the Jackalopes by the Corpus Christi IceRays during the 2012-13 season. In 76 career games with the Jackalopes, Taff scored 23 points and amassed 136 penalty minutes.
"This is a huge thrill for me," said Taff, who forwent his final year of junior hockey to go to Plattsburgh. "The games up here are intense and competitive. I'm just lucky that I was able to step in and contribute in my freshman season."
On Saturday, March 7th, the Plattsburgh Cardinals (19-5-2) will host the Oswego State Lakers (18-3-4) for the SUNYAC Ice Hockey Championship.
In 2014-15, the Odessa Jackalopes will embark upon their fourth season in the North American Hockey League and 18th in the Permian Basin. Season tickets are on sale now!
