JackHammers Seeking Summer Interns

JOLIET, IL - The Joliet JackHammers are currently seeking interns for the 2010 season! The Orange Crush is offering a verity of positions for the 2010 season, May to September, including baseball operations, community and public relations, broadcast (television and radio), photography, as well as, sales and marketing. JackHammer interns will have the opportunity to get professional sports industry experience in a hands on environment.
The internship program is built to establish a fundamental business foundation for students in key areas such as marketing, sales, broadcast, photography, stadium operations, community and public relations. Interns will have the opportunity to assist the front-office staff in ticket-sales, marketing campaigns and game day operations during the JackHammers season.
"The JackHammers internship has given me a better understanding of marketing tactics used in professional sports, as well as it shown me many unique ways to advertise in the community," said current JackHammer Rookie/Intern Drew Silver. "I certainly have enjoyed my time with the JackHammers because this has been a wonderful learning experience for me."
