JOLIET, IL - The Joliet JackHammers and Joliet Noon Lions Club will again host "Jammin' with the JackHammers" at Silver Cross Field on Monday, May 12 at 7:05 p.m. This year's event will surround the JackHammers only public exhibition game versus the Florence Freedom (Frontier League). The JackHammers 2008 home season kicks off at Silver Cross Field on Harris Bank Opening Night (Friday, May 23) at 7:05 p.m. versus the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
Tickets for the event are only $10.00 each, and include a hot dog, bag of chips and small soft drink. Plus, $5.00 from every ticket sold will be donated back to the Joliet Noon Lions Club for projects benefiting the visually and hearing impaired.
"We are thrilled to be working with the Joliet Noon Lions Club again," said Executive Vice President/General Manager, Kelly Sufka, who was quick to point out the benefits of the "Jammin' with the JackHammers" event. "Not only do our fans have the chance to meet the team prior to the regular season, but also they have the opportunity to help us raise funds for a wonderful cause."
Gates will open to the general public at 6:05 p.m. Prior to the start of the game, the JackHammers will sign autographs on the main concourse (6:10 p.m. - 6:40 p.m.). The Joliet Noon Lions Club will also be giving a brief, on-field presentation at 6:45 p.m. During the game, there will be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction on the main concourse. In addition, JackHammers players and coaches will be introduced in-between innings! New JackHammers field manager, Wally Backman, will briefly address the crowd and there will be a live, on-field auction after the game.
LOOSE GRAVEL: From Monday, May 5 - Friday, May 16, the JackHammers are offering several specials on exclusive group outings. For starters, fans investing in either the DesRochers Spa & Party Patio or "Louie's Pad" - Rooftop, with the "Starting Lineup" catering package, will receive an additional $50.00 towards catering and an on-field group photo with Wally Backman following the game! Also, fans investing in a 22-person, 36-person or 58-person individual luxury suite will receive $50.00 toward catering and an on-field group photo with Wally Backman following the game!
