JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers have teamed up with American Family Insurance for two very special promotions during the 2007 season. American Family Insurance will be the JackHammers official "Multicultural Partner" in addition to sponsoring a season-long "Red Hat" promotion with special hats designed exclusively for and sold only by the JackHammers at Silver Cross Field. Five dollars from every hat sale will be donated directly to the American Heart Association. The JackHammers begin their sixth season in the Northern League on May 17, 2007 at 7:05 p.m. against the Calgary Vipers at Silver Cross Field.

"The 2007 season is fast approaching for us," said JackHammers Executive Vice President/General Manager Kelly Sufka. "I can't think of a better way to kick off our season than by introducing these special red hats to our fans."

The American Family Insurance Red Hat Kickoff Night will take place at Silver Cross Field on Friday, May 18th. This will be the first opportunity for JackHammers fans to purchase the hats. The first time the JackHammers hats will be made available to the general public is on May 12 at the American Heart Association's 2007 Will/Grundy County Heart Walk in New Lenox. Fans will also be treated to a meet and greet with "Jammer," the JackHammers official mascot who will attend the event in the "Chill Machine," the JackHammers ice cream truck.

American Family Insurance will also partner with the JackHammers to directly market and sponsor the Women in Business (June 13th), African-American (July 5th) and Hispanic Heritage (August 9th) celebrations at Silver Cross Field. American Family Insurance will also sponsor two multicultural interns, who will work in the front office to learn the business of professional baseball.
