
Jackals Win Home Opener over Wise Guys

On Thursday, the New Jersey Jackals opened up their season at Yogi Berra Stadium and defeated the Jersey Wise Guys by a score of 10-3.
Jackals' shortstop Mike Howard and second baseman Kent Blackstone led the way to victory. Blackstone's 2-run homer put the Jackals on top 8-2 in the bottom of the fourth. The Jackals went on to score two more runs later in the ballgame.
For the Wise Guys, third baseman Andrew Dundon went 2-for-4 and plated one run.
Jackals starting pitcher Chris Tessitore tossed five innings of two-run ball. 2019 champion closer, Dylan Brammer, entered the game in the 9th to secure the victory.
The Jackals will return to the field on Friday July 23rd to open up a three game set against the New York Brave.
