Odessa, TX - The Odessa Jackalopes punched their NAHL playoff ticket with a late-season surge, and will try to use that momentum when they take on regular-season champion Amarillo in the best-of-five series that begins Friday and Saturday in Amarillo. The series shifts to the Ector County Coliseum for Games 3 and 4, if necessary, on Monday and Tuesday, April 9 & 10. Game 5, if necessary, is scheduled for Monday, April 16.

The Jackalopes front office announced on Monday that all seats for all playoff games will be $5. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Jacks main office at 552-7825, and are available online at www.jackalopes.org.

The Jackalopes will try to advance to the Southern Division finals and play against the winner of the Texas/Topeka series. The NAHL will watch five divisional winners, plus host Texas, move on to the Robertson Cup finals, which will be held in Frisco, Texas, May series create division winners, which will advance to the Robertson Cup Finals in Frisco, Texas. As the host of the Robertson Cup, the Texas Tornado automatically receive a spot to finalize the six-team format.

The Bulls, who finished the regular season with a 46-7-7 record and 99 points, won all nine meetings against the Jackalopes, but more than half of those games were decided by two goals or less. Three of those, in fact, were one-goal games. The Jackalopes rallied past Corpus Christi for the Southern Division's final playoff spot - winning seven straight at one point - and finished the regular season with a 27-28-5 mark.

"For our initial season in this league, it's been a great experience and I think our fans have come to appreciate it," said Jackalopes GM Joe Clark. "We'd just like to get as much support from the community at our home playoff games as possible, that's why we're adjusting our ticket prices. The series should be a great test for us, and it should be intense."
