Jackalopes Add Max Ruoho in Springfield Dispersal Draft
September 18, 2020 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Odessa Jackalopes News Release
ODESSA, TX - The Odessa Jackalopes announced on Friday that they have added defenseman Max Ruoho in the Springfield Jr. Blues dispersal draft. Ruoho, a native of Madison, Wisconsin, played last season with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres with the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Ruoho had 42 points (1 goal, 41 assists) in 52 games last season with the Jr. Sabres.
Because of the decision of the Springfield Jr. Blues to not participate in the 2020-21 season, a special dispersal draft was held in order to give those players a place to play this year where they otherwise wouldn't be able to as members of the Jr. Blues.
Ruoho represents the third player taken in dispersal drafts this summer by the Jackalopes. Odessa previously acquired the rights to Gabe Temple (Corpus Christi) and Nick Nardecchia (Kansas City) in dispersal drafts earlier this summer.
