It's Official: Storm will Travel to Omaha for Round 1 of the 2005 UIF Play-offs

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce that the Storm will travel to Omaha, NE, on Saturday, July 30, with a 7:05 PM kickoff, to take on the Omaha Beef in the first ever 2005 UIF play-offs. Sioux Falls has ended the regular season with an 8-8 record which will award them the number five seed in the play-offs. Omaha finished with a 9-6 record to edge Sioux Falls out of the number four seed and finished in second place in the North Division standings. Omaha was having possible venue date issues for Saturday, July 30th, but the Beef announced today they will be able to host in the Civic Auditorium that evening.

With the announcement of the Storm on the road for the 1st round of the UIF Play-offs, comes the lowest "Storm Chaser" Bus Trip rate of the season! For a mere $30 fans can hop on the "Storm Chaser" Bus and receive travel to and from Omaha, a game ticket (seats right behind the Storm bench), party beads, party blow horn, Playoff T-shirt, and beverage on the bus. Call the Storm office at 605-332-4225 to reserve your spot immediately. We want to pack that Omaha Civic Auditorium with Storm fans and work hard to fill at least 3 "Storm Chaser" Bus's!

Ft. Wayne has captured the number one seed for the 2005 play-offs, finishing with a 14-2 record. Sioux City will be awarded the number two seed with a 13-2 record and Lexington takes the three spot with an 11-4 final record. Omaha will be number four and Sioux Falls takes the fifth seed. The last three spots (#6 - #8) are still to be determined, as there is one more regular season game this weekend with Peoria traveling to Ohio Valley. Evansville, Tennessee Valley, Ohio Valley, and Peoria all are in contention for the remaining three spots in the UIF Play-offs.
