October 30, 2021 - Pecos League (Pecos) - Austin Weirdos News Release
The Pecos League Team in Austin will be known as the Austin Weirdos. The Weirdos will play in Parque Zaragosa as their home field. Colors for the Weirdos will be Loyalty Blue, Liberty White and Courage Red that will match the Texas Flag. The Weirdos will wear a navy hat with a tie dye bill. The Weirdos will have a Navy Jersey, a Red Jersey and a Tie Die Jersey. 2022 will be the inaugural season for the Weirdos. The teams website may be viewed at http://www.weirdosbaseball.com.
The Pecos League is an independent baseball league which operates in cities in desert mountain regions throughout California, New Mexico, Southern Arizona, Kansas, West Texas and Colorado. Pecos Teams play in cities that do not have Major or Minor League Baseball teams and is not affiliated with either. The Pecos League has two divisions which stretch from the plains of Kansas to the Oceans of California to the Mexican Border of Texas. The two divisions with the Mountain Division and the Pacific Division.
