Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Albuquerque will host two Major League exhibition games this spring, as the Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Texas Rangers have reached agreements with the Isotopes to play at Isotopes Park on April 1 and April 2.

"Major League Weekend" will showcase the Rockies against the Rangers on Friday, April 1 at 4:05 pm and the Diamondbacks against Texas on Saturday, April 2 at 1:05 pm. The games will be played on the final weekend of Spring Training. Both will be nine-inning contests and the designated hitter rule will be in effect.

"We're thrilled to have reached agreements with these clubs," stated Isotopes General Manager John Traub. "To have three regionally-based Major league teams play here is something fans will be very excited about. We have been working on this for several months and to see it finally come to fruition is very gratifying."

As was the case when the Isotopes played the Florida Marlins last April, the ticket pricing structure will be unified essentially across all areas of Isotopes Park. Tickets will be $22.50 per game for all seating levels (Box, Reserved, Berm, Picnic, and Standing Room) with the exception of the Club Level, which will be $32.50 per game. Fans wishing to purchase tickets to both games can do so at a discounted rate -- $40.00 in all areas, except the Club Level (which will be $60.00).

Isotopes Season Ticket Holders and Mini Plan Holders are guaranteed the right to purchase seats to Major League Weekend. Tickets will go on sale to the general public in February. An announcement about the specific date, time, and procedures of the general on-sale will be forthcoming.
