Isotopes Fall to Bees, 10-5

Albuquerque, NM - Nelson Rada and Raudi Rodriguez each collected three hits from the first two spots of the Bees lineup, as Salt Lake rolled to a 10-5 victory over Albuquerque on Thursday afternoon at Rio Grande Credit Union Field. The Isotopes have dropped the first three games of this season-ending, six-game series.

Topes Scope: - Charlie Condon launched his 26th home run of the season, a solo blast in the fourth inning. It was his fifth home run and 15th RBI in 14 games against Salt Lake this year. Condon's 94 RBI are the most for an Isotopes player in a campaign since Roberto Ramos and Sam Hilliard each tallied triple-digits in 2019. Condon is slashing .377/.477/.811 with 13 homers and 33 RBI in 27 day games this year, tied with Columbus' Cooper Ingle for most homers in day games among Triple-A players.

- Tyler Freeman was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI, his third multi-hit game in his last four contests. Freeman is 8-for-17 with four doubles in the span.

- Sterlin Thompson was 1-for-4 with a double. He is slashing .381/.531/.701 with 11 doubles, one triple, six homers, 21 RBI, 26 walks and eight steals over his last 27 games, reaching base in 68 of his last 128 plate appearances. Additionally, Thompson has reached base in 23-straight contests.

- Chad Stevens was 2-for-4 with a triple, just the fifth three-bagger for the Isotopes since Aug. 11, a span of 32 games. Since coming off the IL on Sept. 9, he is 10-for-28 with two doubles, a triple, homer, seven RBI over an eight-game stretch, and has reached in 17 of 36 plate appearances this month.

- Nic Kent finished 2-for-4 including an RBI double. He is 10-for-21 with a double, home run and four RBI in his last five games, with four multi-hit efforts during the span. The RBI was his 63rd of the season, setting a career-high and surpassing the 62 he drove in with High-A Spokane in 2023.

- With the loss, the Isotopes are assured to finish under .500 for the 12th consecutive season, dating back to 2014, their final campaign as a Dodgers affiliate. The club needs two wins over the final three contests to reach their most victories as a Rockies affiliate, dating back to 2015. The Isotopes finished 71-72 in 2016.

- Albuquerque dropped the first three games of a series on five occassions this year, including three-straight home series (vs. Las Vegas, Tacoma and Salt Lake). Overall, the team has lost 12 of their last 15 home games, dating back to August 18 against the Aviators.

- The Bees scored in double-digits for the fourth time in 15 meetings with Albuquerque this year (also: June 3-4, June 7, all in Utah).

- The Isotopes went 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position, and are 6-for-29 in that situation over the first three games of this series, including 24 runners left on base. Over 15 contests against the Bees this year, the club is 45-for-193 with runners in scoring position and 130 runners left on base.

- Albuquerque's pitching staff issued 10 walks on the afternoon, their seventh time relenting a double-digit number of free passes, and second time in three games this series (also 10 on Tuesday).

On Deck: The Isotopes and Bees meet again on Friday at 6:35 pm MT. Brett Kerry is slated to start for Salt Lake, while Albuquerque is undecided. There will be a fireworks show after the game, weather permitting, presented by New Mexico Orthopaedics.
