NEW YORK CITY - Lobsters marquee player John Isner advanced to the third round of the U.S. Open with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 victory over fellow American Johnny Ginepri.
Isner, the No. 28 seed, will face Alex Bogomolov Jr. in the third round.
Germany's Sabine Lisicki dispatched of Lobsters singles player Irina Falconi, 6-0, 6-1, while marquee player James Blake fell in men's singles to fifth-seeded David Ferrer of Spain, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.
Lobster Mashona Washington combined with Michael Russell in a 7-6 (4), 6-1 loss to Nuria Llagostera Vives and Oliver Marach in mixed doubles.
CoCo Vandeweghe and Eric Butorac fell to eighth-seeded Gisela Dulko and Eduardo Schwank, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (5) in the last Lobsters match of the day.
