Isles Announce PINK Night, Bras Across the Bridge and Partnership

Harrisburg, PA (August 2, 2015) - The Harrisburg City Islanders kick off their PINK Night on August 8th, 2015 in support of the Feel Your Boobies Foundation. The Islanders meet the Richmond Kickers with kick off at 7 pm. Isles will be supporting the PINK Night by wearing PINK Jersey's. In addition, the first annual Bras Across the Bridge will kick off at Skyline Sports Complex prior to the match begins.
Over 500 donated bras will be stretched across the Walnut Street Bridge in a bra chain held by individual and corporate fundraising teams. The goal of the event is to raise funds to support the Foundation's College Outreach Program, which provides free breast health education materials each year to college health centers nationwide.
Gates open at 5:30 pm and the PINK festivities will start at 6:40 pm, with a Bras Across the Bridge Kickoff Ceremony taking place midfield at the Harrisburg City Islanders soccer game (Skyline Sports Complex). Ceremony include the launch of the massive bra chain supported by breast cancer survivors. The bra chain parade will depart the stadium and continue down City Island and across the Walnut Street bridge. The bra chain parade concludes with a Survivor March, where a group of survivors will lead the group across the bridge, followed by all bra chain participants. T he Foundation's goal is to raise over $5,000 to support its education programs.
All game worn PINK jerseys will be placed on auction which begins Saturday, August 8 at 9 pm and concludes on Friday, August 15 at noon. All proceeds will benefit the Feel Your Bobbies campaign. For more details on how to bid visit www.bit.ly/PINKIsland2015.

The cost to register is $25 per person, which includes a free event t-shirt, participation in all Bras Across the Bridge festivities, a free City Islanders ticket to any August home game, and free entry to the Post-Party at Sawyers.
