Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg City Islanders extended their point streak to three games in a 1-1 draw with Orlando City B on Tuesday night at FNB Field.

Harrisburg looked to have the three points in hand with a Tiago Calvano penalty kick conversion in the 80th minute but Orlando got the equalizer from Zach Carol with just minutes left in the game.

Carol chipped a dangerous cross up and over the outstretched hands of Brandon Miller for the deciding score in a match that saw very little action until the final 25 minutes of the game.

With the draw, Harrisburg remains undefeated in their last three games and picks up another point in the process. They now sit tied for sixth place in the standings with a total of seven points (2-1-1).

At the start of the game neither team was able to keep possession for long, thus resulting in a minimal amount of quality scoring chances and only four total shots in the half.

Harrisburg started to ramp up their pressure in the offensive zone and challenged the Orlando City backline but was unable to find the quality to get a shot on net.

The best chance of the half came when Wheeler made a quick move to get around the defender and looked to have an open lane to the goal. Orlando City quickly converged on the Islanders forward to shut down any chance of a shot.

Back and forth midfield play continued to start the second half. Neither team was able to take control of possession still or find the quality to get a shot on goal.

Midway through the half, play started to open up with a couple of quality chances by both teams. Orlando almost took the early lead when Brandon Miller had to dive back to his own goalline to collect a ball that managed to stay out of the net by a few blades of grass.

Harrisburg responded with a close shot of their own when John Grosh volleyed a hard shot right at Edwards, who made the catch to keep the game a scoreless draw.

The Islanders grabbed the opening goal after Paul Wilson was tripped during his seething run into the box and was awarded a penalty kick. Tiago Calvano stepped up to the spot and blew his shot right by Edwards for the late 1-0 lead.

Orlando City found their equalizer off a dangerous free kick from just outside the Islanders box. In the waning minutes of the match, Zach Carol chipped the cross over the sprawling Miller and in for the equalizer in stoppage time.

Harrisburg had a last ditch effort when John Grosh rang a shot right off the crossbar that would have given the Islanders their third win in a row.

The Harrisburg City Islanders are back in action with the first leg of the K&L Gates Keystone Derby Cup next Saturday, April 29 at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh. This is the Islanders first chance to take a win from their cross-state rivals.

Come out to the official viewing party at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Colonial Park Mall and cheer on your Islanders team with a group of our loyal fans.

Harrisburg's next home match is set for Saturday, May 20 on City Island at 7 p.m. against the Charleston Battery. Come out to the game for Magnet Schedules presented by Levin.
