Island Storm Signs Emile

The Island Storm announced today the signing of former NCAA 1st Team Division 2 All-American Sammy Emile.
The 6'6", 215 lbs Small Forward out of Lake Worth, Florida, averaged 25 points per game in his senior year at Mars Hill College - good enough to lead the country in scoring.
Storm Head Coach Joe Salerno says,
"Sammy was one of our first signings of the summer. I discovered Sammy this past spring, and had the opportunity to see him play live in Las Vegas this past July. He has a great basketball IQ for someone coming into their first pro season, and is an explosive scorer. He has a knack for scoring the basketball whether it's shooting from the perimeter or getting to the rim. We will look for Sammy to step in as a rookie and contribute right out of the gate. We were extremely fortunate to sign such a talented player and bring him back to PEI. I really look forward to seeing what Sammy can do in the NBL."
Emile, meanwhile, says he can't wait to come to Prince Edward Island.
"I am very thankful and excited to be playing for a coach who loves to win as much as I do. Coach Salerno has given me an opportunity to help this team and I am very blessed to be part of a great organization here in Canada. It is an honor to be able to play for the Storm this upcoming year. I am looking forward to a winning season." said Emile.
Emile Played in Brazil this past spring
Suiting up for Rio Claro in the ACBD League in Brazil, Sammy Emile averaged 15.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in his first professional contract.
