Island Storm News Release
(Charlottetown, PE) In cooperation with LOTTO MAX presents Cavendish Beach Music Festival, the Island STORM has introduced a new halftime program during their home games where Prince Edward Island singers compete for an opportunity to perform at the LOTTO MAX presents Cavendish Beach Music Festival during the summer of 2015.
This contest is open to amateur Island singers in country, folk or celtic music. During halftime of each STORM home game two singers will perform and the STORM Fans at the game will vote for their favorite performance during the game. Singers may use an instrument or sing to their own recorded music.
Amateur Island singers can send or drop-off their resume and demo to Sherwood BMR, PO Box 216, 423 Mount Edward Road, Charlottetown, PE, C1A 7KA or email their resume and demo to paulm@stormbasketball.ca
An independent panel will select 16 amateur Island singers with 2 performing each halftime leading to a quarterfinal, semifinal, and finals to select a winner.
The winning Island singer will receive an opportunity to perform on the Kitchen Stage at the LOTTO MAX presents Cavendish Beach Music Festival this summer in front of music industry people and thousands of music fans. This could be the break of a lifetime an island amateur singer has been dreaming of.
Entries will be accepted until Thursday December 4th at 5pm with the first set of Island singers performing at the STORM game Sunday November 30th at 2pm so the earlier a resume and demo is sent in the better.
