MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Iron continue to build their roster for the 2010 Arena Football season. Arena Football One announced that the Iron have been assigned defensive back Perry Kyles and wide receiver/defensive backs Alvance Robinson and Larry Williams.
"Today's signings bring the Iron three highly-skilled playmakers at the wide receiver and defensive back positions. Alvance Robison is an elite-level Arena Football receiver who brings all-pro accolades to Milwaukee. Larry Williams adds strength and size to our defensive backfield and is an Ironman in the true sense of the word when it comes to the classic Arena Football game. Additionally, Iron fans will recognize Perry Kyles from the big plays he made and the big hits he delivered in our defensive backfield in the last three games of 2009 - simply stated, Perry Kyles is a football player", said Iron general manager Jason Clark.

Perry Kyles was activated by the Milwaukee Iron on July 6, 2009 and went on to intercept two passes in just three games to end the season. He started all three games, making 13 solo stops and assisting on eight more while being credited with 17 total tackles. He finished eighth on the team in tackles and tied for third in interceptions, despite playing in only three of 16 games. More than anything, Kyles was known for his bone-jarring hits.
In 2008 Kyles scored four different ways (interception return, kick return, field goal return, rush) in 12 games for the Louisville Fire of the arenafootball2 league. He registered 46 tackles, including 34 solo and intercepted a team-high four passes that were returned for 124 yards and a touchdown. He led the team with 35 kick returns for 673 yards and a 56-yard touchdown. He also returned four missed field goals for 90 yards and a 57-yard touchdown.
Kyles signed with the Canadian Football League's Calgary Stampeders in early 2009, before signing with the Milwaukee Iron. Kyles played collegiately for Tennessee Tech University as a cornerback and kick returner where he snared six career interceptions.
alvance robinson, wr/db, 5'9", 175, Alabama State
Alvance Robinson is a dynamic wide receiver with great speed that has garnered all-arenafootball2 accolades the last two seasons. In 2009, Robinson was slated to play for the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League before operations were suspended. He went on to have an all-pro season with 107 catches for 1,582 yards and 32 touchdowns for the South Georgia Wildcats of the af2. In 2008 he signed with the Lubbock Renegades of the af2 and had 95 catches for 1,568 yards and 35 touchdowns. As his Arena Football career progressed, he worked out for the Kansas City Brigade of the AFL before eventually signing again with the Lubbock Renegades. In 2007 Robinson played in 10 games for the Renegades and had 64 catches for 1,085 yards and 22 touchdowns.
In his other professional experience, Robinson attended preseason camp with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL in 2006 and participated in private workouts with the Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals of the NFL that same year.
Robinson was an all-conference performer at Alabama State and named a second team NCAA Division I-AA All-American. He had a standout senior season at ASU with 63 catches for 1,046 yards and 12 touchdowns.
larry williams, wr/db, 6'1", 205, West Virginia
Larry Williams was a standout defensive back for the Green Bay Blizzard of the arenafootball2 league in 2009, playing for Iron head coach Bob Landsee. He played in 12 games for the Blizzard last year, accumulating 38 tackles, 11 pass break-ups and two interceptions, with his strongest performances coming in the playoffs. In addition to his defensive performances, he was a major contributor on special teams, averaging 124 yards per game in field goal, kick-off and interception return yards.
Williams had a solid career as a stand-out defensive back at West Virginia University. Additionally, he became the only prep player in the state of Virginia to make the All-State team at three different positions (Defensive Back, Wide Receiver, Kick Returner).
