Inter Miami CF News Release
MIAMI - Inter Miami CF announced today it has signed Academy graduate Tyler Hall as a Homegrown Player to a contract running through the 2027 Major League Soccer (MLS) season with an option for 2028. The defender is now the eighth Inter Miami CF Academy product to sign for the First Team.
"Tyler has shown tremendous promise since he joined the Club years ago, and we're very happy to see him fulfill the dream of every Academy player in making this step to a First Team contract," said Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson. "He has proven himself to be a high-quality young player and a budding leader, and we are excited to continue his development at the MLS level."
Hall, 17, made his professional debut in 2022, playing for Inter Miami CF II in MLS NEXT Pro, at the time becoming the youngest player to start a match in the league. In all, the defender has made 29 appearances, 24 of them starts, for the Club's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate side over the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Hall also accrued some First Team experience in 2023, appearing on the bench in MLS matches on short-term loan agreements from Inter Miami CF II.
The young center back was named an MLS NEXT All-Star in 2023, making him one of the top 44 best youth soccer players in North America to play in the MLS NEXT All-Star Game.
Hall featured for Inter Miami's Academy U-17s in 2022, with which he was a key contributor for the age group during its successful campaign, including at the 2022 Generation adidas Cup, contributing to the team's run to the semifinals.
On the international stage, Hall has been a consistent contributor for the U.S. youth international teams. Notably, he has been a mainstay as captain of the U.S. U-17 MYNT, most recently captaining the team at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia in November; he made three appearances, two as a starter at the prestigious international competition. Hall also captained the side throughout the 2023 Concacaf U-17 Championship, where he started in five of the team's seven matches in the competition, playing the full 90 minutes in four. In 2022, the defender was part of the U.S. U-17 squad that competed at the Jeek Cup held in the Czech Republic, in which he started and captained the side in two of the team's three matches in the tournament.
Hall joins Noah Allen, Edison Azcona, Benjamin Cremaschi, Ian Fray, Santiago Morales, David Ruiz and Felipe Valencia as the first Homegrown signings to graduate from the Club's Academy to the First Team.
