Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release
Fargo (ND) Ice cream is a delectable dessert on its own, but toss on some various toppings and it becomes a celebration in itself. Much is the same when it comes to the 2006-2007 Fargo-Moorhead Jets home schedule, which is loaded with some exciting hockey action which is going to only be enhanced by a creative promotional back drop.
The FM Jets have released the first part of the promotional schedule, which outlines the home games through January and gives a sneak peek at what too expect at the end of the season as well. Highlighting the schedule is the return of the post-game skate and shoot on goalie promotions. The team will also have various team poster giveaways and another special jersey auction.
However, the 2006-2007 promotional schedule also features some creative, off-the-wall, ideas. "Myself and Scott (Montesano) were here one night until the early morning and the crazier the ideas got, the better they sounded" said FM Jets sales executive Steve Strasheim. "We want to make it more then a game for those who aren't necessarily die-hard hockey fans."
The FM Jets will hold Average Joe Night in conjunction with their Sept. 30 home game against Alaska as the first 100 fans with the first name of Joe, Josephine or Jose' receive free admission.
Oct. 14 will be Salute to Heroes Night, as the FM Jets will be honoring some of the Red River Valley's own heroes. Fans will also be encouraged to dress as their favorite real-life or comic book hero.
Sat. Nov. 4 will feature the exciting Bald is Beautiful promotion as all fans who are folically challenged will receive a 50% discount on their ticket. A barber will also be at the game, to shave heads to give everyone an opportunity.
The FM Jets will introduce Tattoo the Express Night on Jan. 5 against Southern Minnesota. Any fan with a viable tattoo will receive a 50% discount on their ticket. In addition, any fan willing to get the official FM Jets' logo tattooed on their body will receive FREE LIFETIME admission.
Another highlight will take place during the last home game of the season on Mar. 31 when the FM Jets' will honor all the local high school hockey players who will have recently concluded their seasons.
