PORTLAND, November 10, 2008 - All individual game tickets for the 2009 Portland LumberJax season will go on sale Wednesday, December 3rd starting at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased over the phone by calling the Jax ticket line at 1-866-983-5656, on the Jax website by clicking HERE, at the Rose Quarter Box Office, or through most TicketsWest Outlets.

The fourth season in Jax history kicks off on Saturday, January 3rd as the Jax host the Minnesota Swarm at 7:30 p.m. at the Rose Garden Arena. Portland is 2-1 all-time in home openers.

Six days later, the Jax host the rival Colorado Mammoth at 7:30 p.m.

After a three game road trip, Portland returns home to host the Calgary Roughnecks on Friday, January 23rd at 7:30 p.m. This is a rematch of the 2008 West Division Championship in which the Jax rolled the Roughnecks 16-12 in Calgary.

The homestand continues on Saturday, February 7th as the Jax host the San Jose Stealth at 7:30 p.m. This is the first of two meetings between the two clubs in the Rose City.

Following a road game in Calgary, Portland returns home to face the Edmonton Rush on Saturday, February 28th at 7:30 p.m. Portland has owned Edmonton from day one, holding a 6-2 lead in the series history.

The All-Star Break and three straight road games keep the Jax away from Portland until Sunday, March 29th as the Jax host the Stealth at 3 p.m.

On Saturday, April 4th at 7:30 p.m., the Rochester Knighthawks make their first visit to Portland since the 2006 season.

Then, on Friday, April 17th at 7:30 p.m., the expansion Boston Blazers make their first-ever visit to Portland. It's the final regular season game of the season for the Jax, so playoff positioning will most certainly be on the line.
