Indianapolis Indians News Release

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians unveiled a new marketing creative campaign in 2010, designed and executed by long-time partner Hirons & Company Advertising + Public Relations.

"The essence of the enticements of Indians Baseball at Victory Field is captured in this new campaign" said Indianapolis Indians Vice President and General Manager Cal Burleson. "Hirons & Company minted the Indians 'Baseball Up Close' brand nearly a decade ago. This latest evolution of our brand is some of Hirons' best work to date and truly delivers on our promise that an Indians game at Victory Field is the place for the entire family to get up close to the entertaining action of professional baseball"

2010 marks the eighth season that Hirons & Company has been the franchise's advertising agency of record. During the tenure of their partnership the Indians and Hirons have celebrated a number of achievements including the second largest attendance increase in the International League in 2007.

"Our work with the Indians has been a real source of pride for this agency and it's a great pleasure for me to see this new creative campaign take hold," said Tom Hirons, President and CEO of Hirons & Company. "We consider the Indians to be a strong strategic partner and friend and are excited to witness another season of baseball action at Victory Field."

Hirons & Company utilized in-depth research to analyze audiences and fan attitudes before developing creative visual concepts that would leverage the fan experience of attending an Indianapolis Indians game at Victory Field, with headlines and copy that would be fun and engaging.

Creative elements of the campaign including outdoor, radio, television/cable, print and online began to rollout on March 29.

The Indians open the 2010 home schedule on Friday, April 16 at Victory Field against their division rivals the Toledo Mud Hens at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.IndyIndians.com or by calling the Victory Field Box Office at 317-269-3545.
