SPOKANE, WA - Fans were treated to a show on and off the field this Independence Day at Avista Stadium. The Spokane Indians continued their winning ways with a 5-3 win over the Eugene Emeralds. Following the game was a fantastic 4th of July Fireworks show that lit up the evening sky courtesy of Comcast.

The Emeralds struck first in the top of the 3rd with a three run frame, but the Indians answered right back in the bottom of the 3rd with two runs of their own. Spokane would score again in the bottom of the 5th and 8th to secure their 13th win of the season.

Outfielder Tim Rodriguez finished the game 2 for 3 with a single and a double. First baseman Jared Bolden drove in two runs on a double. Outfielder Eric Fry hit his fourth homerun of the season.

Indians starter Richard Bleier picked up his first win of the season, going six innings allowing five hits and three runs. Right-hander Juan Peralta closed out the 9th inning to pick up his first save of the season.

The Indians return to Avista Stadium tomorrow for the third stanza of the five game homestand against Eugene. Tomorrow night is B-I-N-G-O Night, presented by Coeur d$B!G(JAlene Casino and 101.1 FM Rock n$B!G(J Roll$B!G(Js Greatest Hits.
