
Indians Return to Victory Field on Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS -- With less than two and a half weeks remaining in the 2009 season the Indianapolis Indians open a seven-game homestand on Thursday. The homestand kicks off with the Tribe facing the Louisville Bats (Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) in a 7:00 p.m. contest on Thursday and continues through August 26 as the Indians entertain the Bats (Aug. 20-22) and the Columbus Clippers (Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) (Aug. 23-26).
Thurs. August 20 Louisville 7:00 p.m. * Ticketmaster Family Night -- Thursday Family Nights are a great way to treat yourself and three guests to a night at the ballpark. The Family Night package includes four box seats, four hot dogs, four sodas and four Indians souvenirs for only $52! Family Night packages MUST be ordered in advance and through any Ticketmaster outlet..
* Budweiser 2-for-1 Tickets Night -- Budweiser 2-for-1 ticket coupons are available at most Kroger's, Crown Liquors and United Package Liquor stores through out Central Indiana. Fans may exchange coupons at the Victory Field Box Office and receive two tickets to Thursday's game for the price of one.
* Special Parking Rates For Indians Fans -- Fans can park at the Government Center Garage, located on the northeast corner of Maryland and West streets, for just $5 when they show their Indians tickets.
Fri. August 21 Louisville 7:15 p.m. * Friday Night Fireworks -- Everyone's favorite night of the week gets better with Friday Night Fireworks at Victory Field presented by Coors Light. Stick around after the game for a fantastic fireworks show shot from center field.
* George Foster Appearance-- Former Indians outfielder and Cincinnati Reds great George Foster will be in attendance to meet and greet fans and will be available for autographs and pictures during the contest. He will also be selling memorabilia with the proceeds to benefit the Foster Safe Youth Network Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of Indianapolis.
Sat. August 22 Louisville 7:00 p.m. * ZOOperstars! -- Come one, come all to Spectacular Saturday! Clarian Health and Marsh Supermarkets present the zany, hysterical and unbelievable ZOOperstars who will be on hand to entertain fans of all ages.

Sun. August 23 Columbus 2:00 p.m. * Rowdie Soap Dispenser Giveaway -- It's another Souvenir Sunday at Victory Field as the first 4,000 fans receive a Rowdie soap dispenser courtesy of Indianapolis Downtown Inc. Gates open at 12:30 p.m.
* Knot Hole Run -- Members of the Indianapolis Indians' Knot Hole Kid's club get the chance to run the bases following the conclusion of the game.
Mon. August 24 Columbus 7:00 p.m. * Monday Dollar Menu -- For the 11th time this season, hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, Cracker Jack and potato chips will be available for just $1 each.
Tues. August 25 Columbus 7:00 p.m. * 2-for-1 Tuesday -- 2-for-1 coupons are available at participating Arby's locations for each Tuesday night game at Victory Field presented by Arby's restaraunts and WJJK 104.5
Weds. August 26 Columbus 1:00 p.m. * Business Day Game -- Enjoy an afternoon away from the office with co-workers, clients, or friends. With a 1:00 p.m. start time, lunch and a game at the ballpark is easier than ever.
* Parking Shuttle -- The Indians continue to offer a Business Day parking shuttle for each weekday afternoon game at Victory Field. Fans may park at Lucas Oil Stadium (Gate 1 on Missouri Street) for $5 and take advantage of a complimentary shuttle to the ballpark. The shuttle will run continuously from 90 minutes before the game until 30 minutes after the contest.
