Independent Review Panel Rescinds Red Card Issued to D.C. United Forward Eddie Johnson

NEW YORK (May 28, 2014) - The Independent Review Panel has rescinded the fine and one-game suspension for the red card issued to D.C. United forward Eddie Johnson in the 82nd minute of the May 24 game against the New England Revolution. D.C. United submitted an appeal for review of the play. The appeal was unanimously upheld by the Independent Review Panel.
The panel consists of one representative from the U.S. Soccer Federation, Canadian Soccer Association and Professional Referees Organization (PRO).
