
Inaugural Great Lakes Sports and Fitness Expo to Premiere in August

MUSKEGON, Michigan (February 25th) - The L.C. Walker Arena and Event Center is pleased to announce the addition of the inaugural Great Lakes Sports and Fitness Expo hosted August 13-16th that features the latest in fitness, apparel, nutrition, exercise, and wellness along the lakeshore in the growing and vital health, wellness, nutrition, and fitness marketplace.
The four-day expo, which runs from Thursday afternoon until Sunday evening, is a community event designed for the health and wellness enthusiast that also includes something for everyone with over 100 booths positioned throughout the interior of the building consisting of nutrition, supplement, fitness, clothing, and sport equipment companies. Also, numerous sporting and social events are expected to be added on to the expo to encourage participation from residents throughout West Michigan.
"There is a tremendous opportunity and need to bring like-minded people together to provide opportunities for individuals to discover, learn, experience, and share tools, tactics, foods, fitness, and fun to enhance the quality of life for residents along the lakeshore," shared Event Coordinator Pat LaPorte.
"The L.C. Walker Arena and Event Center is excited to partner with the Great Lakes Sports and Fitness Expo and come alongside so many people that share our vision for happier, healthier, and vibrant Muskegon," shared Vice President of Business Development Rob Murphy.
As an additional part of the upcoming expo, the North American Natural Bodybuilding Federation (NANBF) is hosting a "Battle at the Beach" bodybuilding competition on Saturday, August 15th. Prejudging for the event begins at 12:00 pm on the arena's main stage with the finals slated for 7:00 pm. Competition features judging at various experience levels for both men and women that includes a women's bikini competition. General admission tickets are on sale for adults at $40 in advance and $45 the day of the show along with a children's rate of $10. Additionally, VIP tickets are available to purchase in advance of the show date only for $50. All admissions prices include a weekend pass to the expo.
Individual day passes for the Great Lakes Sports and Fitness Expo are on sale at the L.C. Walker Arena and Event Center Box Office for the affordable rate of $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. Children ages five and under can enter the event for free. Weekend passes are also available with a price of $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.

Interested companies that invest in a booth by the end of the business day on Tuesday, March 31st can receive a special of $200 off the original price or one free booth upgrade.
