BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, February 5, 2009 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today revealed its latest attendance report and the statistics show that eight teams are enjoying rising attendance figures. The highest jumps in attendance originate from Shawinigan (+ 424) Quebec (+ 423), Moncton (+ 362) and Drummondville (+ 339).

Overall, the QMJHL is averaging 3,441 fans per game through February 1st, a slight 1.2% drop (41 spectators per game) from last season.

Of note, the Drummondville Voltigeurs could break their all-time attendance mark of 87,655 fans, which they established in 2006-07. If the trend continues, they should surpass the 88,000 plateau despite playing one less home game due to the new 68-game schedule.
