Imperials to play again Friday night
June 21, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Palm Beach Imperials News Release
Melbourne, FL. The ABA Palm Beach Imperials will play its third pre-season exhibition game on Friday evening, June 23rd at 7pm when they again take on the Brevard Blue Ducks at the Clemente Center, 150 W. University Blvd in Melbourne. The Imperials have handed the Blue Ducks their only two defeats of the season - and hope to accomplish a three-peat on Friday night.
Half price tickets to the game are available in advance by calling 321 751 BLUE. Roy Jones, Jr., the former boxing champion, will be returning to the line-up for the Blue Ducks as well as Randy "White Chocolate" Gill, the ABA All-Star from the Maryland Nighthawks. "It should be one fun Friday night," remarked Blue Ducks owner, Mike Richman. "And that's just what we aim for."
"We've enjoyed these games," added Dan Mangro, President of the Imperials. "They've given us a chance to see some of our players in game conditions; they've acquitted themselves well. But we know that we have to be very strong to compete with the tough ABA teams. Mike has put together a formidable squad - and the competition is tough here."
