Palm Beach Imperials News Release

Boca Raton, FL- The Super bowl wasn't the only big game in town as The Palm Beach Imperials hosted The Orlando Aces in an American Basketball Association Game. Both teams put forth a super effort as they played at a fast and furious pace from the starting tip-off to the final buzzer.

The Imperials came out firing and went on an 8-0 run to begin the game and would play stifling defense building a lead. With 5:05 left in the quarter The Aces would go on a 13-5 run to close the gap and the quarter would end with the Imperials up 28-25. The Imperials would ratchet it up a notch with a pressing defense led by Jason Brooks 4 steals that resulted in 11 points being scored as The Imperials took a 55-42 lead in halftime.

The Imperials continued to build on their lead and prevailed 127-106. The Imperials are now 9-14 and building momentum as they have won their last two games. The keys to this victory were tenacious defense led by Jason Brooks who recorded 8 steals. Rolando "Downtown" Hall's solid play and leadership led to 19 points 10 assists and 5 steals. Chauncey Davis aided the effort with 23 points and 5 steals. Carl Jenkins contributed to the victory with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Lamar "Burna" Moore was the leading scorer with 27 points.
