IMPACT 1 MINNESOTA 2

The Montreal Impact lost its second game of the season, falling 2-1 to the Minnesota Thunder, last Friday, at James Griffin Stadium, in St.Paul. The Impact took a 1-0 lead at the 53rd minute on Massimo Di Ioia's first career goal with the Impact, but the Thunder struck back with two quick goals at the 74th and 76th minute. The loss puts an end to the Impact's 12-game streak without a loss. It was also the Impact's first loss ever against Minnesota (4-1-1). ALL-STAR GAME: SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 0 USL 0

The United Soccer Leagues First Division All-Stars, coached by the Montreal Impact's Nick De Santis, and English club Sheffield Wednesday played to a 0-0 tie, Wednesday, in the USL D1 All-Star game, which was held in Cary, North Carolina. Impact defenders Gabriel Gervais and Mauricio Vincello also represented the Impact at the game and both started the match. THE IMPACT HOSTS SEATTLE WEDNESDAY

The Impact will play its first home game after a stretch of three games on the road, this Wednesday, July 26, against the Seattle Sounders at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex (7:30 pm, RDS, CJAD 800, Sport Plus XM-172). Seattle is standing in 7th place in the USL D1 with 25 points in 19 games. It will be the second match-up between the two teams in a short time. On July 26, the Impact registered a 2-1 win against the Sounders at Qwest Field in Seattle.

IMPACT JOS LOUIS PUBLIC PRACTICE JULY 31st

The Montreal Impact will hold its fourth Jos Louis Public practice on Monday, July 31st, at 7 pm at Granby's Jean-Yves Phaneuf Park. Presented by Jos Louis cakes, the practice will feature drills, animation as well as the chance to win promotional items. The Impact will also play a friendly game against celebrities.
