Impact on Radio-Canada Television in 2011

MONTREAL ‚¬" The Montreal Impact and Radio-Canada Sports announced Monday the 2011 broadcast schedule.

Eight regular season matches will be televised live on Radio-Canada and all Impact matches at Saputo Stadium will be presented and described on the web at Radio-Canada.ca/sports.

The soccer season on Radio-Canada kicks off with the presentation of the home opener at Saputo Stadium on Saturday, April 23 versus FC Tampa Bay.

Six other home games will be presented live, notably the match on May 14 against the Carolina RailHawks, which beat the Impact in the last semi-final round of the playoffs, as well as the all-canadian matchup on June 4 versus Edmonton, an expansion team in the North American Soccer League (NASL).

Radio-Canada will also broadcast one game live on the road on August 27, in Minnesota.

Philippe Germain will do the play-by-play, while former Impact player, from 2000 to 2010, Patrick Leduc, who retired on March 29, will be the new color commentator. Marie-José Turcotte will once again host the program and will be joined by former Impact player Gabriel Gervais.
