Illusion Win Home Opener

Glen Carbon, Illinois ]] The St. Louis Illusion opened their 2009 season at The Game Arena on Saturday November 21st, with a 7]5 victory over interstate rival Kansas City Kings, in front of a near capacity crowd.

The Illusion were led by former St. Louis Ambush great Joe Reiniger and PASL All]League forward Elvir Kafedzic, who each had two goals and an assist. Newcomers Peter Christofilakos and Lawrence Olum each had a goal and veteran Roger Gemoules had the final Illusion tally. Reiniger was also named the Player of The Game.

Illusion ownerfs Karen and Jamie Swanner honored the Edwardsville High School Varsity Soccer team for their appearance at this yearfs Illinois State High School Finals, during a special halftime presentation, where members of the squad and their coach were introduced.

The Illusion will be back in action again on Friday December 4th at 7:30pm at The Game Arena, when they take on one of the leaguefs newest franchises, the Louisville Lightning.
