Pontoon Beach, IL, 9/13/13 - Illinois Piasa is proud to announce the signing of local soccer product Jarid Faulkerson. Jarid is a native of St. Louis who played youth soccer for Busch Soccer Club. He played high school soccer at both Mehlville High School and Wentzville Holt High School. Jarid earned 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-State honors while playing for Wentzville. He was also his team's top goal scorer earning him their Golden Boot Award.

"Jarid first played for Piasa back in 2010 for our amateur team in the Premier Arena Soccer League, but saw some limited time with the pro squad. He spent the past couple seasons playing with the Illinois Fire in the PASL-Premier. I have always been impressed with his ability. Now it's his time to shine. He's really developed into a dynamic two-way player and matured into a good young man. I think he will do a great job for us and will open some eyes this year," said Illinois Piasa General Manager Matt Williams of Piasa's latest signing.

Coach Montroy added, "Jarid has excellent foot skills and the ability to beat people off the dribble. He also possesses a nice shot. Jarid has a high work ethic and a desire to compete. I have watched him mature as a player over the past couple years and am looking forward to seeing him in the Illinois Piasa uniform. His hard work and flare are sure to make him a popular player with the fans."

Faulkerson is pumped about signing and had this to say, "I would like to say that I am very fortunate and excited for the season ahead and that my teammates as well as myself are ready to bring some hardware home. "
