
IHL Releases 2009-10 Regular Season Schedule

ROCHESTER, MI- The International Hockey League (IHL) released the schedule of games for the 2009-10 regular season this afternoon. The IHL season opens on Friday, October 16th, 2009 and concludes on Sunday, April 18th, 2010.
Seven IHL Member Clubs will compete for the 2009-10 season. The schedule consists of 266 games with each team playing a total of 76 games (38 home, 38 road). There will be a total of 59 weekday games with 78% of the league contests being scheduled to be played on the weekend.

Each of the seven IHL Member Clubs will hit the ice during the first weekend of play. The Dayton Gems will kick off their inaugural season on home ice Friday, October 16th as they face-off against the Fort Wayne Komets. Also opening that night will be the Flint Generals as they host the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
