Iguanas Ticket Deadline Approaching

May 14, 2002 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
San Antonio Iguanas News Release

Season tickets for the 2002-03 Iguanas season are currently on sale with a deposit of just 25% required before June 1st. After the early June deadline, full payment will be needed to secure your seat for what is going to be the historic eighth season for the Iguanas in San Antonio.

Another advantage of purchasing tickets prior to June 1st is that last years prices are locked in until that date. The potential exists for prices to be raised after June 1st.

General Manager Rick Carden still says that Iguanas tickets will be the best price in town.

"I do not foresee significant increases in the prices for the Iguanas this year but by securing your place as an Iguanas season ticket holder for the 2002-03 season prior to June 1st you will be assured that you will not be affected by any potential increases."

The Iguanas played last season in the Freeman Coliseum but are most assuredly going to be housed under a new roof as the lease in the coliseum expired at the end of last season.

"We are not certain as to where the Iguanas will be skating next year but we are certain it will be in the city of San Antonio," added Carden.

The Iguanas drew over 150,000 fans last year and averaged just under 5,000 fans per game which ranked them third in the 16-team Central Hockey League.
