IFL Week 5 Coaches Poll Released

Richmond,VA .- The Sioux Falls Storm remain at the top spot for the third consecutive week in the IFL Coaches Poll.

Sioux Falls remained at the top position after they routed the Reading Express 75-42. During the game QB Chris Dixon threw for four touchdowns and also ran for more than 100 yards. The undefeated Storm will prepare to take on the biggest mover in the coaches poll this week, the Cedar Rapids Titans, on April 1st.

Tri-Cities remains in second place this week. Despite having their tightest matchup of the year against Everett the defending Intense Conference champions will play again Friday, March 30 vs. Wyoming.

The biggest change inside the top five is that there is no longer a tie between the Green Bay Blizzard and the Allen Wranglers for third place. The Wranglers beat the Wichita Wild in a rematch from Week 1 61-48. The Blizzard had a close game between the Omaha Beef in Week 5. They knocked off this week's number seven ranked team 43-37.

The Bloomington Edge and the Colorado Ice come in at fifth and sixth respectively. The Edge beat the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks,36-34, on the last play of the game in Week 5. Their next opponent is the Chicago Slaughter. After a bye in week 5, the Ice stay at number six this week and will face the Everett Raptors in Week 6. The Omaha Beef move up two spots from ninth to seventh as well.

The Cedar Rapids Titans make the biggest jump of the week. The Titans move from unranked to eighth. The Titans come off a 52-40 victory over Chicago in which the Titans ran for five touchdowns. This week they will face their biggest challenge of the season as they face the number one ranked Sioux Falls Storm on April 1.

The New Mexico Stars drop one spot from eighth to ninth. After two weeks off, the Stars will finally return to the field March 31 against the Wichita Wild.

The Nebraska Danger suffer the biggest drop this week as they drop three spots from seventh to tenth after losing to the Wyoming Cavalry 44-43.

Lehigh Valley drops out of the top ten.
