IFL Week 10 Players of the Week Announced

The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 10 of the 2018 IFL season.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Darrell Monroe (RB, Arizona Rattlers)

In one of the highest scoring games in IFL history, the Arizona Rattlers narrowly escaped the Cedar Rapids Titans 84-83 in Week 10. Rattlers RB Darrell Monroe had a game for the ages as he set multiple IFL records in the Rattlers victory. Monroe (6'2, Arizona Western College) rushed for an astounding 11 touchdowns, obliterating the previous IFL record of seven rushing touchdowns. In addition, Monroe's final touchdown of the night gave the Rattlers the lead with just two seconds remaining on the clock. Not only was Monroe a threat near the goal-line, he also rushed for 140 yards on 29 attempts. The Rattlers RB also led the team in receiving adding seven receptions for 65 yards. In total, Monroe finished his night with 205 all-purpose yards. Monroe and the Rattlers face a rematch with the Titans in Week 11.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Bryce Enyard (DB, Iowa Barnstormers)

The Iowa Barnstormers defense clamped down on the Green Bay Blizzard holding the team to just 25 points in a 46-25 victory in Week 10. The Barnstormers' defense, led by DB Bryce Enyard, held the Blizzard to only two offensive touchdowns throughout the night. Enyard (6'0, NW Missouri St. Univ.) proved to be a a ballhawk and a defensive force in the backfield as he intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown in the second quarter. In addition to his two interceptions, Enyard also led the team with 10 tackles. With his two interceptions, Enyard increased his lead as the IFL's leader in interceptions and now has seven on the season. He also has an interception in three of his last four games. Enyard and the Iowa Barnstormers travel to face the Sioux Falls Storm in Week 11.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Dezmon Epps (KR, Arizona Rattlers)

The Arizona Rattlers had a day like no other in the team's 84-83 last-second victory over the Cedar Rapids Titans. In addition to team's 300th franchise victory, a record breaking performance by RB Darrell Monroe and and IFL record 16,742 fans in attendance, KR Dezmon Epps also broke the IFL record for kick return yards in a game with 263. Epps (5'9, Univ. of Idaho) helped set an early offensive tone for the Rattlers as he took the team's opening kickoff 51 yards for a touchdown as well. Epps finished his night with eight kick returns for 263 yards for an astounding 32.9 yards per return average. He also added two receptions for 16 yards, pulling his all-purpose yardage total to 279 yards. Epps and the Rattlers face a rematch with the Cedar Rapids Titans in Week 11.
