IFL Completes Pre-Season Meetings

January 31, 2006 - Intense Football League (Intense) - San Angelo Stampede Express News Release

San Angelo, TX: After three days of full-agenda meetings, the Intense Football League has concluded their 2006 spring meetings. Major steps of progress were made including a word-by-word refresher for coaches on the IFL Rule Book along with the complete design of a new Operational Handbook. "It was our goal for everyone present to learn something new about their job and to leave here even more enthusiastic then they arrived," stated IFL President Chad Dittman, "I believe we accomplished both this weekend."

Head coaches spearheaded a few improvements to the rules and had their first opportunity to sit together as a complete group. IFL Head Coaches include JT Smith in San Angelo, Mike Esposito in Odessa, Lawrence Fisher in Laredo, Jason McKinnley in Corpus Christi, John Lyles in CenTex, and Darnel Lee in Louisiana. Several assistant coaches participated as well.

The Operational Handbook drafted by league owners is a manual designed to address every possible policy and procedure needed to properly run the league. With a wealth of experience and consultant assistance at the meetings, this handbook is expected to elevate the quality of league operations for seasons to come.

Additional activities included several training seminars and guest speakers in areas of sales, management, marketing, and media relations along with a few social outings designed to familiarize each team's staff with one another.

The season kicks off on Saturday, April 22nd with all six IFL teams in action. Additional information may be obtained by calling the league office or by visiting the league web site at www.IntenseFootballLeague.com.
