
Idaho's Gaines, Tolliver Named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week

NEW YORK, Dec. 9, 2009 - Sundiata Gaines and Anthony Tolliver of the Idaho Stampede were today named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week for games played during the first 10 days of the season. Gaines and Tolliver are the first players to earn the honor this season.
The duo led Idaho to a 3-1 record, including two wins over the Reno Bighorns and one over the Dakota Wizards.
During the season's first four games, Gaines came off the bench to average a league-leading 27.0 points while shooting 60 percent (38-of-63) from the field. He also contributed 8.3 assists, ranking second in the NBA D-League, to go with 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 31.5 minutes per game. He scored a season-high 31 points in a win over the Bighorns on Nov. 28.
Tolliver, who started all four of Idaho's games, is averaging 23.8 points and 11.5 rebounds, both of which rank fifth in the NBA D-League, while shooting 52 percent (30-of-57) from the field. Tolliver connected on an NBA D-League season-high six three-pointers in his team's win over Reno on Nov. 30.
