
IceMen Take Two At AAHL Draft

Representatives from all six AAHL teams came together in Chicago over the weekend for the inaugural AAHL Draft Camp. The Evansville IceMen had the fourth pick in the first round and the third pick in the second round.
With their first round pick, the Evansville IceMen drafted forward Richard Haley and, in the second round, the team drafted Kevin Wittenberg.
Richard Haley (6'4" 224lbs) is from Battle Ground, Washington. The 24 years old played Division 1 college hockey for Weber State University. "Richard is a big, physical guy on the ice," IceMen GM Chip Rossetti said. "He has good hands and good vision of the ice. We are excited to bring him camp."
Kevin Wittenberg (6' 160lbs) is from Antioch, Illinois. "Kevin is a speedy guy that can get around guys. Working on the right line, he could be a dependable player for our team."
The IceMen will open their 2009 training camp on October 12th at Swonder Ice Arena. The team will kick off their home game schedule on October 30th, when the Madision IceMuskies come to Evansville.
