Evansville IceMen News Release
Evansville, IN: The Evansville IceMen (1-1-0, 2 pts) of the All American Hockey League are in the middle of a tough week of practice in preparation for Friday nights battle with the Madison Ice Muskies (2-0-1, 5 pts) and Sundays game against the Chicago Blaze (2-0-0, 4 pts)
"It's time to get this thing into a higher gear", head coach Jack Collins said. "We have a couple of games under our belt and we can see the things that we need to work on and that is what we are doing."
The IceMen split their season opening series with the Ice Muskies this past weekend in Madision, winning 8-7 in a shootout on Friday and falling 6-0 on Saturday.
"Those games went a long way toward seeing what our team is made of", Collins continued. "All in all, when you go on the road for a two game set and you split those games, you've done pretty well. Now we just have to kick it up a notch and win some big games at home."
The IceMen will play their home opener on Friday, October 30th, at 7:00pm, against the same Ice Muskie team. Friday is Nick Nackery Opening Night. Fans are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the game.
The IceMen will be back on the ice on Sunday, November 1st, at 4:00pm to take on the Chicago Blaze on College Night. Wear your favorite college teams apparel to the game.
Season ticket, Mini-Plan Package and Individual Game Tickets are available now. More information on all of these options is available on the IceMen website at www.evansvilleicemen.com or by calling the team's office at 812-435-8971.
