
IceHogs to hold inter-squad game in Beloit

Rockford, Ill.-Rockford IceHogs General Manager Ryan Washatka announced Tuesday that the United Hockey League Club will continue it's training camp tradition and hold a team practice and play an inter-squad game in Beloit, Wisconsin. The game will take place on Wednesday, October 13 at 7:15 p.m.
The event marks the fourth straight season in which the IceHogs will travel to Beloit for the inter-squad match. The practice and game once again will be played at the Edwards Ice Arena Telfer Sports and Activities Center, located at 2101 Cranston Road. IceHogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Steve Martinson will conduct a brief practice beginning at 7:15 p.m. before the team breaks up into two squads for the scrimmage.
Tickets for the game are $3 for adults 17 and over, $1 for kids 7-16 and there is free admission for kids 6-and under and adults 55 and over. All proceeds from the game will benefit the Beloit Youth Hockey Association.
IceHogs fans can purchase tickets at the IceHogs office (202 West State St. in downtown Rockford), at Finnegan's RV Center (205 Park Ave. in downtown Beloit) or at Bud Weiser Chevrolet and Cadillac (2676 Milwaukee Ave. in Beloit) beginning on Friday, October 8. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the game.
There will be beer, pop, bratwurst and other refreshments available at the game. The doors will open at 6:45 p.m. and the IceHogs will take the ice at 7:00 p.m. for a pre-game warm-up.
