IceHogs announce training camp schedule

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud members of the United Hockey League, announced Tuesday the club's 2006 Training Camp Schedule. The IceHogs eighth season in Rockford will begin on Monday, Oct. 2 and the training camp will conclude Thursday, Oct. 12.
The IceHogs first practice is slated for Monday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. The practice will take place at Riverview Icehouse in downtown Rockford and will be followed by a media session beginning at 12 p.m. or immediately following the practice. The practice is open to the public. Another media session will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. in the IceHogs lockerroom at the Rockford MetroCentre.
The IceHogs Training Camp schedule includes a pair of exhibition games, including two home contests for the first time in club history. The first preseason affair is against the Quad City Mallards on Friday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Rockford will then host the Chicago Hounds on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 5:05 p.m. Tickets for both exhibition games are $7, General Admission and all kids 7-and-under receive free admission.
All of the IceHogs practices spanning from Oct. 2 through Oct. 5 are open to the public, as the team skates at Riverview Icehouse. All practices beginning Friday, Oct. 6 and leading up to opening night, will be held at the MetroCentre and are not open to the public.
