IceDigger Assistant Coach Kelly Miller was pleased with the team's workmanlike effort. "We've been talking about how important it is to get pucks on net," said Miller. Tonight we were rewarded for our efforts". Miller also was happy to see Lanciano rewarded. "Chris is solid defensively," Miller noted, "We might expect to get two goals from him for the entire season, but two in one night shows how he carried his effort into the offensive zone and gave us a big lift."

The IceDiggers, improved to 5-13-3, while peppering North Star goalie Jeremy Kaleniecki with 41 shots. Alpena returns to action with Friday and Saturday night contests at Mahoning Valley. Both games begin at 7:00 and can be heard via the Mahoning Valley Phantoms website.
