IceCaps Face Marlies in Second Annual Colemans Cup

ST. JOHN'S - The St. John's IceCaps, in partnership with Colemans, announced today the Toronto Marlies will once again travel to Newfoundland and Labrador in October to compete in the second annual Colemans Cup exhibition series.
The American Hockey League exhibition showdown will pit the Marlies versus the IceCaps at three venues across the province:
o Thursday, October 6th (7:30 p.m.) Stephenville Dome
o Friday, October 7th (7:30 p.m.) Corner Brook Civic Centre
o Sunday, October 9th (2:00 p.m.) Gander Community Centre
"The St. John's IceCaps are proud to once again host our chief rivals, the Toronto Marlies, in the second annual Colemans Cup," said IceCaps President and CEO Danny Williams. "This promises to be an exciting and intense series as the IceCaps will be gunning to defend the title we won last year and prospects from both organizations will be fighting to secure coveted roster positions."
The IceCaps also announced that training camp will run from October 2nd to October 10th, initially based out of Corner Brook and concluding in St. John's. The Newfoundland and Labrador grocery chain, Colemans, will once again sponsor the three-game American Hockey League exhibition series between the IceCaps and Marlies.
Mike Coleman, Vice-President of Colemans, says the family-friendly entertainment provided by the IceCaps makes the partnership particularly attractive.
