PLAYOFF MUDDLE: After a pair of losses over the weekend, the Ice's magic number to secure home ice for the first round of the Clark Cup Playoffs remains at two and stands at four to clinch the East Division. As for the team's first-round opponent, it is still a three-team race for seeding between Waterloo, Cedar Rapids and Chicago. The Steel's magic number to clinch a playoff berth is one. Despite the weekend setbacks, Indiana is still in the race for the Anderson Cup as the team trails the West Division-leading Lancers by five points, but still has two games in hand with Omaha.

POINT BREAK: With three assists over the weekend and 66 points and counting, Greg Squires now owns the franchise record for most points in a season. The second-year forward also has points in 16 of his last 17 games (6G, 16A) and enters this week's play on a six-game assist and point streak.

KEMPER OPEN: Veteran forward John Kemp broke his own Ice record for most assists in a season as the third-year USHL'er now has 51 assists and counting for the year. He also registered his eighth three-or-more point game of the season in Saturday's game at Chicago which ties him with former defenseman Eddie Del Grosso for franchise-best honors.

EMINENCE FRONT: The Ice is 1-3-0 in their last four games....Paul Carey is first in the USHL in goals (33) and power play goals (15) and has nine points (6G, 3A) in his last six games....Patrick Cullen has five points (3G, 2A) in his last five contests...Ron Cramer has 47 penalty minutes in his last three games.

ICE IN THE NCAA: 14 former Ice players will be participating in hockey's 16-team NCAA tournament beginning this weekend....Garrett Roe (2004-07) was named to the All-WCHA Second Team and All-WCHA Rookie Team.
