Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice is still itching for their first win of the season tonight as they travel back to the Ann Arbor Ice Cube for a double header with Team USA U17 tonight and Friday night at 7:00 pm.
This will not be the first trip to Ann Arbor for the Ice as they fell to the Team USA U18 squad 4-2 in the season opener in late September. Ice forward Aidan Muir tallied a goal and an assist in his USHL debut while Mitch Hults added the other lamp lighter. Goaltender Samu Perhonen recorded 22 saves on 26 shots in the game.
The Ice is looking to rebound from a 0-2-1 start, including a 6-5 setback in their home opener to the Sioux Falls Stampede last Friday. Ice forwards Joe Sullivan (2G, 1A) and Alex Talcott (1G, 2A) led the offense with three points apiece as Dwyer Tschantz and Patrick Newell also potted scores for Indy.
Saturday's contest was a defensive battle as the Ice nearly overcame a two-goal deficit against the Muskegon Lumberjacks before falling in overtime 3-2. Ice forwards Dwyer Tschantz and Scott Conway found the back of the net while Austin Kosack assisted on each score.
The Ice return home next week to face the Youngstown Phantoms in their much-anticipated Banker's Life Fieldhouse debut on October 12 at 7:05 pm.
Season and group tickets are now on sale for all 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. Flex packages and additional ticket packages are available starting as low as $50. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
